In elementary school, I learned from the Bible that I was created to worship and serve Jesus, my Creator. I learned He is God and came to earth to save sinners a few thousand years ago. It was at that time I first realized I was a sinner in need of God's grace.
My mother explained me how to trust Jesus for the forgiveness of my sin, and while I didn’t understand every detail of the Gospel, I prayed confessing my sinfulness and asking Christ to save me. I continued my life with the understanding that I was saved by the blood of Jesus.
In middle school and high school I learned that I had no greater purpose then to bring glory to the awesome God who created me. At that point I decided that I wanted my life to be completely focused on worshiping and serving Jesus.
I attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois and majored in Bible and Youth Ministry. I deeply enjoyed my four years of college in Chicago, and continued a helpful education through that time.
I served at Village in Sugar Grove for a time, and then enjoyed an internship at the Aurora and Indian Creek Campuses. After I graduated, I began serving full-time at the Aurora Campus, and have been here ever since in various pastoral roles.
In 2021, I stepped into the Campus Pastor role and am enjoying the opportunity to serve the Lord, our church, and the Aurora community.
I am so thankful for our many ministry leaders, volunteers, and elder couples all investing in God's work in and through our church as we move forward in the exciting next steps God has in store for us.
I am married to my beautiful high school sweetheart, Emily, and we have three amazing children: Piper, Haddie, and Calvin. It really has been a great joy to love them, watch them grow, and see God's grace in their lives.
My Hope for the Aurora Campus
I want to see followers of Jesus worship and serve Him above everything else. At Village, everything we do is about making disciples of Jesus for the glory of God. My hope for our campus is that as God works in our lives individually, we will take bold steps of faith to enjoy our Creator, spread the gospel, and build the Kingdom of God in our community and around the world.
