Hey Kids! Come learn the game of soccer and play games with kids your own age!

Village Bible Church Plano Campus is running another free soccer camp this summer, July 16-20 from 6:00-8:30pm. We split the kids up into groups according to age, so they will be practicing skills and playing scrimmages with kids that have similar skill level. The camp is for kids ages 6-12. We have coaches that will be teaching the kids soccer skills that are applicable to their ability. Each day will have a fun-filled evening of soccer drills, soccer games, snacks, singing, and  a bible message

Soccer Camp Details

Learning and playing soccer is a fun time! The children will be divided into groups according to their ages, so they will be playing soccer with others with comparable skill level and physical size. We do require that each parent/guardian sign a release form prior to their children playing soccer at the camp. This release form can be printed out, signed, and handed to the camp staff at check-in time at the start of camp. Below are some questions about the soccer camp. If you have further questions please send an email to  and we will reply soon.

Online registration has been closed, but you can register at Soccer Camp.

Where will the soccer camp be held?

The soccer camp will be held on the grounds of Village Bible Church Plano Campus. The church is located just south of Rt 34 on the west side of Plano, behind the Plano Cafe restaurant (formerly A's Family Restaurant).

How will the age groups be divided?

Soccer camp is open to 6-12 year olds this year. The groups will be:

  • Group 1: Ages 6 and 7
  • Group 2: Ages 8 and 9
  • Group 3: Ages 10, 11, and 12
Who will be coaching?

There will be several coaches per age group. There will be two or three high school soccer coaches helping with the camp.

What are the field sizes the kids will be playing on?

The fields will be sized appropriately according to the age the group of the kids playing on the field.

What should the children wear?

We strongly recommend all kids wear shin guards on their legs. Shoes can be sneakers or soccer shoes. Shorts will normally be worn, but if it is colder then sweat pants or other comfortable long pants. Any shirt will be fine; the kids will be wearing colored shirts to match during games.

Will there be water breaks?

Yes, we will have water available to the kids during the evening.

Why do you need to know about allergies my child has?

We will be providing snacks during the evening so we would like to know if anyone might be allergic to some ingredients.

Can parents stay and watch their children play soccer?

Yes, parents are encouraged to stay and watch. Feel free to bring a lawn chair. We just ask that you let the coaches work with the kids teaching the skills and running the games. They may ask for some parents to help at times if needed.

What other types of activities will occur at soccer camp?

The majority of the time each evening will be focused on learning soccer skills and playing games. Each evening we will start with a short time together as a large group of all ages, maybe watching a skit on a important lesson, singing a song, and instructions for the rest of the evening. We rotate the three age groups through soccer skill training, soccer games, and bible lesson & snack time in the air conditioned building. At the end of the evening everybody will go inside for a wrap-up session, including a fun time of encouragement for the kids from their leaders.
