Several students from other countries come to America to pursue higher education at Universities like NIU and then travel back to their home countries to use their degrees there. As Christians, we have the opportunity to make an impact on their lives through ministering to their physical and social needs with the ultimate desire to share the gospel with them so that they can come to know Jesus and then take the gospel back to the people in their homeland.

Before Covid-19 restrictions, Network of Nations ministered to International students through a Friday evening meal. Network of Nations altered that ministry by providing an Intercultural Market at Immanuel Lutheran Church in DeKalb where these same NIU International students can receive food items familiar to them and receive support and fellowship from Christians who volunteer.

To volunteer:

Volunteering entails coming out to DeKalb on Friday nights between 1/29-4/30 at Immanuel Lutheran on Russell Rd. (High School students on up to adults can sign up to volunteer. Children are welcome to serve with an accompanying parent)
