Living the Dash

Preacher: Tim Badal

Series:One Month to Live

Summary:

Living the Dash In Human History there have been many who have longed to make their life count, but none more than Jesus Christ. Being God, Jesus knew His time on earth was short and He lived the dash perfectly. His life and priorities model what He calls all of his followers to imitate. As we explore the life of Jesus, we see that: 1. Jesus lived passionately. What does living passionately look like? The answer is seen in the: Comparison Characteristics Choice 2. Jesus loved completely. This involved: Loving God Loving others This is seen through: Sacrifice Service 3. Jesus learned humbly. Even though Jesus was God, He taught us by His own example how to learn humbly. He showed us how to give up our own prerogatives and obey God in the following circumstances: When problems come our way. When people hurt us. When other paths are attractive. When life is painful. How do you cultivate obedience to God? Give God the first day of the week. Give God the first part of every day. Give God the first portion of my income. Give God the first consideration of every decision. 4. Jesus left boldly. Leaving boldly involves two important priorities: Life is all about stewardship…God owns everything!!! Life is short … Live for eternity!!!
