Dan is one of the shepherding elders at our Aurora Campus. He and his wife Darlyne live in North Aurora with their dog Cooper.
Dan accepted Christ as a freshman in high school but didn’t really begin to grow in his faith until he got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) while he was a student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. There were two pivotal moments in Dan’s walk with the Lord while a student at Madison. The first one was while on a spring break trip with Cru as a junior, where he first shared his faith. The second was at a winter conference his senior year where Bill Bright presented a challenge to the students, that would shape how Dan viewed his service to the Lord wherever he would go.
After college, Dan lived in MN for 17 years where he worked at a technology firm, served as an elder at his church, and was an affiliate staff member with Cru at Minnesota State University – Mankato.
In 2016 Dan relocated back to the Fox Valley area so he could begin a new career as a financial advisor. He met Darlyne when he moved back to the area and they were married in 2018. Today he works for Benjamin F Edwards, where he is both a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Certified Kingdom Advisor™ (a certification for Christian financial advisors). His wife Darlyne runs a ministry out of their home where she helps women address challenges that hold them back from being all that God created them to be.
Dan is an avid Badgers and Packers fan and loves to be out on the golf course in the summer (although he admits he’s not all that good). He loves to read and enjoys cooking, especially on the grill. Dan & Darlyne like to travel together, do ministry together, and debate who will be the next winner on The Voice or America’s Got Talent.
