John the Baptist's Best Man Speech

In his best man speech, John the Baptist kept Jesus the hero.

1.  John evaluated himself and his ministry with humility.
       •  John's gifts came from God (22–27).
       •  John's ministry pointed to Jesus (28–29).
       •  John's conclusion magnified Jesus (30).

2.  John endorsed Jesus and His message with joy.
       •  Because Jesus came from heaven (31)
       •  Because Jesus delivered His message firsthand (32–33)
       •  Because Jesus was authorized by the Father (34–35)
       •  Because Jesus saves believers from the wrath of God (36)
