And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. -- Hebrews 10:24,25

Membership really does matter -- Why?

1.  Church membership matters practically.
       The church has practiced membership since the very beginning.

2.  Church membership matters personally.
       God created people to be in relationship with one another.
          a.  Members are accountable to one another.
          b.  Members are responsible for one another.

3.  Church membership matters publicly.
       God's witness in this world has always been through a people.
          a.  A people who love
          b.  A people who practice the ordinances
          c.  A people who proclaim the Gospel
          d.  A people who will not fail
