The Family Business

Jesus takes care of business with His Father in three surprising ways:

1.  Jesus and His Father are unified but separate (vv. 17–23).
       •  Unified in doing work
       •  Unified in giving life
       •  Unified in making judgment

2.  Jesus and His Father can give life to the dead (vv. 24–29).
       •  Sinners who believe gain spiritual resurrection.
       •  Believers who die will gain resurrection to heaven.
       •  Unbelievers who die will face resurrection to judgment.

3.  The Father sent Jesus to save the undeserving (vv. 30–47).
       •  John the witness affirmed it.
       •  Jesus' works affirmed it.
       •  The Father's Word affirmed it.
