Formerly Empowered to Connect, Hope for the Journey is a one-day simulcast event aimed to shepherd parents and caregivers to a deeper understanding of their children’s needs. As more and more families have responded to meeting the needs of vulnerable children by adopting and providing foster care, the demand for practical and proven resources and tools continues to grow. The Hope for the Journey Conference will help meet these needs and further resource churches in their endeavors to be beacons of hope and encouragement for families.

The Hope for the Journey Conference schedule will include five high-level learning modules based on the foundational principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) along with a new teaching component, The Gospel + TBRI. Embedded within each learning module will be a “Going Deeper” teaching video on a select topic, and also included will be two practical, encouraging “Practical Perspectives” videos featuring the voices of adult adoptees as well as adoptive and foster families.

We will be meeting in room 101/102. Please enter through the office door.
There will be a 1-hour lunch break (food not provided).
Childcare will not be provided at this event.

Please RSVP by April 9. Feel free to sign up with the link below or email Darnell Duncan. If you have difficulty signing up online, please contact the church office at (630) 466-7198.
