Living on Mission

Passage: Ephesians 2:10

1.  "For we are his workmanship"
         •  God is the Creator, we are the creature.
         •  God is the One on mission.

2.  "created in Christ Jesus for good works"
      Three observations on "for good works"
         •  While we didn't work to earn our salvation, we do work
             to engage our salvation.
         •  Grace is opposed to earning, not effort.
         •  Fruit of the work of God is the works of God's image bearers.

3.  "which God prepared beforehand"

Points to Ponder for "Living on Mission"
1.  Our mission proceeds primarily from gift, as gift.
2.  The Church does not self-invent.
3.  Good works involve pre-prepared avenues of obedience.
