The basis for our appeal, in other words for our preaching the message of the gospel, is God's approval, His sanctioning.  He is our Source! | 1 Thessalonians 2:4

1.  The power of God is the source of our boldness | 1-3
        ●  In spite of suffering, shameful treatment, and conflict
        ●  Does not spring from error, impurity, or deception

2.  The heart of God is where our bent to share the gospel comes from | 4b-6
        ●  Pleasing God, not man
        ●  Not flattering for personal gain
        ●  Not given over to greed

3.  The love of God is why we become like a nursing mother | 7-8
        ●  Gentle with her own children
        ●  Giving of herself to her own children

4.  The calling of God is why we labor in blood, sweat, and tears | 9
        ●  Night and day
        ●  Not to be a burden
        ●  While proclaiming Good News

5.  The holiness of God is why our behavior is blameless toward you | 10
        ●  You are witnesses
        ●  God is watching

6.  The nature of God is why we bid and beg you like fathers | 11-12
        ●  We exhort each one of you
        ●  We encourage you to walk worthy of God who calls you to His own
            kingdom and glory
