What We Ought to Do | Part 15

Passage: 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

Preacher: Dave Haidle

Series:Ready

Detail:

1.  The trouble with end times teaching: God's people are easily
alarmed, all shook up, deceived and prone to do what they
     ought not to do.
       ●  Fraught with danger (bury our heads in the sand)
       ●  Frail of mind and faint of heart (follow a strong leader)
       ●  Figure it out (we can know when and how)

2.  The transition to what God's people ought to remember in
response to any trials, temptations, or tribulation
       ●  We've been taken from groaning to gratitude
       ●  We've moved from being lost to knowing God's love (gospel)
       ●  We've moved from fear to faith to a future

3.  This takes us to a place of trust where...
       ●  We stand firm in the truth.
       ●  We are stayed on the teachings.
       ●  We ought always to pray and not to faint, illustrated from
the Old Testament (2 Chronicles 20).
