I was born and raised in Northern Illinois by wonderful Christian parents who emphasized the importance of ministry and family life. My mother was a teacher, and my father, a hardworking immigrant, owned his own business before entering full-time ministry.
I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in childhood and have attended Village Bible Church since middle school. My faith became central during my freshman year of high school after the tragic loss of my older brother, Chris, in a car accident. Through my parents’ steadfast faith and the guidance of my youth pastor, my relationship with Jesus deepened. A few years later, I met my wife, Amanda, and we have been married since 1997, blessed with three wonderful sons—Noah, Joshua, and Luke.
Since 1995, I have served as General Manager of 5-B's Catering Service, a business my parents started in 1979. This role has allowed me to serve Christ by being a light to my employees and customers, demonstrating that ministry extends beyond pastoral work to every vocation.
In 2003, I transitioned from an active lay leader to an interim preacher at Village Bible Church, and in early 2004, I became the Lead Pastor across all VBC campuses. I enjoy leading our church staff, writing small group materials, and providing leadership training, as well as envisioning the future of our church.
Village Bible Church has shaped who I am, and I consider this church my family. I strive to honor Christ in my role and look forward to what God has in store for Village Bible Church.
