What we learn from the name Mighty God

  • Mighty speaks to God’s Power and Authority
  • God speaks to God’s Divinity and Holiness

What makes God Mighty?

  • His power to Create
  • His power to Conquer death
  • His power to Crush the enemy

What happens when we don’t treat god as mighty

  • We can believe God owes us
  • We can overlook sin
  • We can only trust God with small asks

How should we live?

  • We need to Know God’s promises
  • We need to Understand the names of Jesus
  • We need to Trust that God is faithful
  • We need to Guard our faith and our hope

What has this got to do with Christmas?

What He’s done:

  • He Sent His Son
  • He Paid the Penalty
  • He Resolved to Return

What He’s yet to do:

  • Fix our Fallen world
  • Establish His Kingdom for Eternity
