    2.  The works of the Christian (1-2, 8)
           •  Verses 1-2
                  >  to be submissive to rulers and authorities
                  >  to be obedient
                  >  to be ready for every good work
                  >  to speak evil of no one
                  >  to avoid quarreling
                  >  to be gentle
                  >  to show perfect courtesy toward all people

           •  Every religion involves works (performance-based).     
           •  Christians work from a posture of rest.
               Our present works are based upon Christ's perfect work 
               which overcame the penalty, power, and ultimately the   
               presence of our past works!
