Mike is a member and shepherding elder at our Plano campus, where he shepherds a small
group and leads the prayer ministry. He is married to his wife Robin, and has three children,
Elijah, Joanna, and Ruth.
Mike grew up in Dixon, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. After
working as an engineer at Caterpillar for 33 years, he retired in 2022.
When he was 26, Mike went to Mardi Gras to party. But God had different plans! After seeing
evangelists carrying a cross and street preaching, he was convicted by their message, and then
two weeks later, he was invited to church by some friends. He went and gave his life to Jesus
that day.
Four years later, Mike returned to Mardi Gras, and this time it was to share the Gospel on the
street as someone had done for him. He has served at Mardi Gras with No Greater Love
Ministries almost every year since—25 times to be exact!
Mike now serves with Cup of Cold Water Ministries as a short-term missionary. He feels called
to go where God leads him to share the gospel and support missions. The Lord has given him
many opportunities to apply his evangelism ministry in places like Ghana; Caballococha, Peru;
Prague, Czech Republic; and Mongolia.
