    The Promise of Peace

    Passage: Acts 10:34-48

    Detail:

    1.  Things that threaten our peace: SIN
           ●  Sins we inherit
           ●  Sins committed against us
           ●  Sins we commit

    Big Idea: Peace can only be found in Jesus Christ (v.36).

    2.  Peace was presented in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ (vv.38–39a).
           ●  Jesus performed miracles.
               Categories of Miracles:
                 >  Healing
                 >  Creating
                 >  Nature
           ●  Jesus fulfilled the Scriptures.
           ●  Jesus preached the Good News. 

    3.  Peace was proclaimed through the death of Jesus Christ (v.39b).           Why did Jesus die? (Romans 3:21–26).

    4.  Peace was proven by the resurrection of Jesus Christ (vv.40,41).           Questions to ask about the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
           ●  Is the resurrection important?
           ●  If Jesus fulfilled Scripture in His life could He fulfill Scripture
               in His death?
           ●  Why was the tomb empty?
           ●  Who stole the body?
           ●  What happened to the disciples?
           ●  Were 500 people convinced to lie?
           ●  Who saved me and is meeting with us today?

    Conclusion:
         vv. 42,43 — This is what we are doing.
         vv. 44–48 — This is what we are asking God to do.
