From getting to meet new campers, to playing games with them, from our english lessons, to our fun times playing nine square, from our amazing worship sessions to our morning prayer devotions, from group bonding and getting to know our team mates, this trip exceeded my expectations in every way. Over the past couple of days, we've been diving into the important lessons that EVERYONE needs Jesus and that He is the only way to heaven!
We've explored how John wrote about his friend Jesus, sharing his stories so we could all come to know Him.
Our awesome snack volunteers got creative with their treats, making pencil-themed snacks that the kids loved. To their surprise and delight, these "pencils" could actually write and erase!

The joy of the Lord is so abundant in the country of Uganda! During the course of our stay in Uganda, we got to visit several schools where the students enrolled there are sponsored by VBC families. We got to meet with every child - learning their favorite Bible verse, hearing their favorite song, and knowing who God created them to be. The Ugandans constantly brought a smile to my face as they embraced us in their dances, culture, and reasons for praising God! Though our lives may look different, we worship the same God who provides for us all. I am so thankful for what Uganda revealed to me about the God we serve and the partnership that Village has with Living Hope for Children! - message from Haley Duncan, member of our 2024 Uganda team!
