I was born and raised in Aurora, IL by loving parents who taught me about God and Jesus. I spent my childhood and teen years active in the Catholic Church and Catholic schools. Although I knew stories from the Bible and believed that Jesus was God’s Son, I relied on my morality and church tradition to earn eternal life. It wasn't until college, when I wrestled with some trying circumstances, that the Lord unveiled my eyes to the truth that I was a sinner deserving of Hell and apart from his mercy and grace I could not ever be considered righteous. I surrendered my life to Christ on December 18th, 1994 when my boyfriend (now husband) shared the Gospel with me. My life dramatically changed as I grew in my faith and understanding of the Word of God. I have since been a member of Village Bible Church.
In 1997, I married my best friend Tim and we have been blessed with three wonderful sons: Noah, Joshua and Luke. We lead a busy life of ministry, family activities and school involvement. Over the years I have used my gifts and abilities to serve in several areas including MOPS, Vacation Bible School, worship, women’s studies, and event planning. In 2012, I was asked to serve as the Director of Women’s Ministry and I enjoy overseeing the various aspects of this role and look forward to what God has in store for our women.
My hope for the women of Village is that we will strive to walk in a manner worthy of our calling according to Ephesians 4, and hold one another accountable as we pursue holiness.
