1.  Three characters
       ●  Wise men -- were called "Magi"
       ●  Herod -- was called "King of the Jews"
       ●  Religious leaders -- were the chief priests and scribes
           of the people

2.  Three responses
       ●  The wise men worshiped and gave gifts to Jesus.
       ●  King Herod responded with anger and hostility.
       ●  The religious leaders were apathetic.
