-Acts 1:1-12-

 1.     Took place during his many appearances after the resurrection.

These appearances involved:

  • A certain period of time
  • Many different people
  • A certain purpose

The purpose of His words was to give:

  • Certainty to his disciple
  • Specific commands
  • Comfort to others after his departure
  1. Come at the time of His ascension.

His ascension involves:  

    • His position
    • A promise
    • Preparations
  2. Should build our anticipation for the future.

In the meantime we are told to:

  • Wait on God
  • Not worry about the details
  • Be witnesses of the gospel
  • Worship the coming King
