HattonMeet the Hatton Family!

Ben and Missy, Judah-7, Giana-6, Tierenan-4 and Silas-1. Soon they will be traveling far away to a country called Papua New Guinea. Papua New Guinea if filled with heavy rainforests, jungle and mountains. There are about 850 different languages spoken there. They will have to learn a new language and travel through the rainforest to meet and live with the people there. Then they will be able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ!

This year our VBS project is to raise support for the Hatton Family. Each day at the beginning of VBS there will be two containers sitting at the entrance to the sanctuary. One will be labeled BOYS and the other GIRLS. As the children enter they can place their money in the appropriate container. Every day the money will be counted and during that day’s closing we will have an exciting “challenge time” where the winner for the day is announced! A special treat or prize will be given to the winners, either the boys or girls for the day.

Every day the children will be hearing an exciting missionary story through a puppet show about the Hatton family and their experiences. We want the children to realize the importance of serving the Lord and the impact He has in our lives and the world around us!

So let the challenge begin!!!!!
