Sinners in the Hands of a Just God

Three ways God gives justice to sinners and saints

1.  To deliberate sinners, God gives a warning of judgment  (26–31).
       •  Rejecting Moses' law deserved physical death.
       •  Rejecting the Son of God deserves spiritual damnation.

2.  To saints, God gives strength through suffering (32–35).
       •  Public suffering is an opportunity to become like Christ.
       •  Friends' suffering is an opportunity for compassion.
       •  Financial suffering is an opportunity to cherish our best possession.

3.  To us, God gives the eternity we deserve (36–39).
       •  Those who shrink back will be destroyed.
       •  Those with enduring faith will be preserved.
