The Better Way to Keep Clean

Passage: Hebrews 9:1-14

Detail:

1.  The tabernacle was good.
       •  God was worshiped there 24/7.
       •  God reminded His people of His faithfulness.
       •  God reminded His people of His mercy.

2.  But the tabernacle had its limits.
       •  The priests had to make sacrifices over and over again.
       •  The priests were the only people allowed in God's presence.
       •  The tabernacle was never meant to be permanent.
       •  The sacrifices in the tabernacle cleansed the body, but not
           the conscience.

3.  God's heavenly tabernacle is perfect.
       •  God's heavenly tabernacle is perfect because of our 
           perfect priest.
       •  God's heavenly tabernacle is perfect because of His
           perfect sacrifice.
               >  Christ's sacrifice is perfect because it cleanses our
                    consciences.
