As those who are known by God...

1. We have great privileges; therefore, we are greatly
accountable.

2. We bear His great name; therefore, God will vindicate
His name when it is defiled.

3. We are adopted as children; therefore, God will discipline
us when we wander off.
• This punishment, though fiery, is refining not consuming.
