1.  Wives
       
•  Submit in partnership, not as a subordinate.
             Genesis 2:18: Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the
             man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.   

       •  Relationship built on love and respect

2.  Husbands  
       •  Sanctify — Proverbs 31:10 (ESV): An excellent wife who can find?
             She is far more precious that jewels.  

       •  Protect — Colossians 3:19: Husbands, love your wives, and do not 
             be harsh with them.
       •  Serve — 1 Timothy 5:8: But if anyone does not provide for his relatives,
             and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith
             and is worse than an unbeliever.
       •  Lead — Ephesians 5:1–2: Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved
             children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up
             for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3.  The Mystery  
       •  Marriage mirrors relationship between Jesus and the Church.
       •  Marriage roles are purposeful and not an accident.
       •  Marriages rooted in this mystery are strong.
