Discover Parent & Child Dedication
November 29, 8:30am
We know that there is a short span of time in which children form their identities. Everything about a child is incredibly impressionable.
We strive to take every opportunity to encourage children to understand, internalize, and live out what the Bible says. Because the Bible is all about Jesus, that's our desire for the children of Village. We want them to grow up with Jesus as their identity.
Children's Ministry will be offered during both of our Sunday worship services.
All children attending our Children's Ministry (including nursery) will have to be registered for the 2020-2021 Village Kids Classes along with a weekly RSVP.
Room 105 for infants and early walkers and Room 106 for toddlers
Our nursery ministry seeks to provide a safe, God-centered atmosphere for the youngest members of our church family by our friendly team of background-checked volunteers. We welcome newborns through 2-year-olds while parents participate in the multitude of opportunities available.
If your child ever needs you while in the nursery, we'll contact you via phone, church pager system, or a nursery representative will locate you in the service.
We have a nursing room available during all worship services. The nursing room is next to the preschool registration station in the Village kids hallway. Ask a nursery volunteer or usher for directions. The worship service feed is conveniently shown on the TV!
We love the opportunity to partner with parents in teaching kids God's Amazing Word! Our preschool classes are open to kids who are 2 years old by 9/1/20 and potty-trained through kids who are not yet in kindergarten.
Prior to being dropped off in class, all preschool students must be checked in. Preschool classes begin with drop-offs in Room 120. Our Christ-centered interactive lessons from Lifeway's Gospel Project for Kids include a morning divided into 3 sessions. Students will have a Bible Story session, with the lesson of the day being reinforced through their craft session and their organized games session. Our mornings also include a snack, singing, and a brief kids' video of our daily lesson.
We are blessed with an outstanding group of volunteers who love kids, who love Jesus, and who love teaching God's Amazing Word to our little ones!
Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students have classes available during both services during the school year. It is our desire to provide families the opportunity to worship together during the opening of each Sunday Worship Service in the sanctuary. Not only do our elementary-aged kids have the opportunity to participate in a time of worship singing with their families, but they also witness the baptisms and testimonies of many adults and students and hear reports from our missionaries.
During both services, our kids will sit under the leadership of great teachers who know and love the Lord. We use LifeWay's Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. This Christ-centered class time walks kids through a specific passage of Scripture, with these stories coming to life through videos, activities, and more. Parents are emailed weekly with announcements for the week and the lesson/lesson helps for the week to come. Our PK - 5th grade students are studying the same lesson each week. We'd love for you to be reviewing these lessons at home and preparing for the lesson to come by providing these home Bible studies for you to use. We are blessed with these opportunities to partner with parents in challenging our kids to trust God, make wise choices and build lasting friendships.
Bridge is our ministry for 4th and 5th grade students. During this important transitional stage in development, we want to provide a place for students to grow together and in their understanding of God's plan for their growth.
All gatherings of The Bridge will run from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the gym. Please enter through the gym doors on the east side of our Sugar Grove Campus.
Each year we spend an unforgettable week together learning songs, playing games, creating crafts, eating snacks, making friends, and learning about God.
